The journey to improve Health while decreasing prescribed medications, is one well worth pursuing. The opportunity to enhance your quality of life while living a longer more active lifestyle will take time and effort. The good news is, it can be done! The First step to improve your health and promote a healthy lifestyle is deciding to make the necessary changes. The second step is researching your options and choosing the best one for you. Your personal Plant-Forward Nutrition Coach will customize a whole food plant based plan which takes into consideration your unique lifestyle and goals.
As a Registered Nurse for over thirty years, I look to the science to support my approach to Health and Wellness. Being diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes fifteen years ago was the beginning of my affair with the myriad of chronic illnesses that plague nearly 133 million Americans today. The Gestational Diabetes became Type II Diabetes and brought the common agitators, Hypertension, High Cholesterol and Morbid Obesity with it. Each of these diagnoses have one or more medications routinely prescribed to treat them. I was prescribed Metformin, Victoza, Glipizide and Prandin for Diabetes. Lisinopril for Hypertension, and Simvastatin for Cholesterol. That's just personal experience, pretty anecdotal right?
The over thirty-years of clinical experience is another matter altogether. I have personally cared for patients with Cardiovascular Disease, Heart Attacks, Strokes, Amputations, Blindness, and kidney disease many of which resulted from Lifestyle choices. In my home state of South Carolina, 1:7 adults have Diabetes. Seven out of ten people with Diabetes have Hypertension. Two out of three people with Diabetes have High Cholesterol. Two thirds of the Adults in South Carolina are Overweight or Obese. I didn't mention the fact that I was Obese as well. However, I think you get the picture. So, how will we get your health moving in the right direction? A personalized "Plant Forward" eating plan and Lifestyle strategies will be designed by your Coach.

The cost of the customized Coaching Program will vary based on the length of time your Coach works with you. The initial consultation is priced at $75.00 and can last up to an hour. During that conversation, you will have the opportunity to discuss your goals and concerns. The average coaching program runs from 3 to 6 months and as little as $250 monthly. Your Coach will assist you in developing a Plan that you feel comfortable with and that allows you to reach your goals.
2. What kind of food will I have to eat?
The Plant Based RN, LLC strongly advocates a plant forward nutritional format. However, the ultimate goal is to optimize Wellness. We are prepared to meet you where you are. The meal plans are customized and will evolve as you do. A combination of Fruit, Vegetables, Grains, Nuts and Seeds can provide the body with the nutrients it needs to function optimally. Daily juicing is also encouraged. You may choose to add certain foods back gradually once your goals are met.
3. Which foods are not allowed on this diet?
Our Plan asks that you avoid Meat, Fish, Dairy, Eggs, Cheese, Processed Sugar, Refined Flour and Oil. Our research indicates that these foods contribute to Inflammation, Obesity, Cardiovascular diseases, Cancer and more. You will be glad you did.
4. Can I get a refund if I don't lose weight?
Remember that you are embarking on a journey that will last the rest of your life. This is not a Diet. Your Coach will ensure you have the tools to be successful. Your health status will improve IF you follow your Plan. There will be No Refunds. Having said that, the Support will be here for you when the Coaching ends. Be sure to reach out for help if you are struggling.
5. What will I get with this Plan?
